Your next mission, should you choose to accept it is to find the culprit, and most of the time the rechargeable batteries inside your outdoor solar lights are to blame. Unfortunately these batteries are not eternal, they have a life-span of one to two years. A lot of factors determine for how long they can operate at their full capacity. To replace them just follow the steps bellow:

Disassemble your outdoor solar lights

In most of the cases you'll find few screws under the light fixtures. Remove them carefully. At this stage you should be able to easily open the solar light and see what's inside.

Once you locate the batteries, remove them carefully and write down the specifications. They should be of NiCd or MiMH type 1.2 volt AA size and anything between 500 to 1200 Mah. This type of rechargeable batteries are widely available and finding them in your favorite shop or online shouldn't be a problem.

Once in possession of your new set of batteries, you have two alternatives:

- If you have a universal battery charger you can charge them before installation so your outdoor solar lights are ready to operate fast.

- If not in a hurry, just install the new set and your solar powered lights should be fully charged after a couple of days and ready to run properly.

Congratulations, mission accomplished! Your outdoor solar lights are like new now and should operate trouble-free for an additional couple of years.
